چکیده

To improve the increasingly demands products that are customized, all business activities performed along the product life cycle must be coordinated and efficiently managed along the extended enterprise. For this, enterprise had wanted to retain control over the whole product lifecycle especially when the product is in use/recycling (End Of Life phase). Although there have been many previous research works about product lifecycle management in the beginning of life (BOL) and middle of life (MOL) phases, few addressed the end of life (EOL) phase, in particular, when the product is at the customers. In this paper, based on product embedded device identification (PEID) and mobile agent technologies, and with the advent of the development of the ‘‘intelligent products’’, we will try to improve innovation: (a) by minimize the lunch phase, (b) and the involvement of the customer in product lifecycle. Keywords— Product lifecycle management (PLM); End Of Life; innovation; Intelligent Product; PEID; Mobile Agent

Several Aspects of Information Flows in PLM

There are lots of activities in the product lifecycle, which are grouped into three main phases: beginning of life (BOL), middle of life (MOL), and end of life (EOL). Thanks to recent emerging technologies, information flows of whole product lifecycle can be visible and controllable. The PLM under this environment allows all actors of the whole product lifecycle to access, manage, and control i...

Autonomous Control of Intelligent Products in Beginning of Life Processes

Current research into integrating RFID into metal parts has shown the practical feasibility of embedding transponders directly into aluminum during the casting process. This introduces the possibility of augmenting parts with decision making capabilities immediately after casting. Along with concepts from the field of Intelligent Products and models of autonomous control in production such as t...

Life cycle assessment of second generation (2G) and third generation (3G) mobile phone networks.

The environmental performance of presently operated GSM and UMTS networks was analysed concentrating on the environmental effects of the End-of-Life (EOL) phase using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method. The study was performed based on comprehensive life cycle inventory and life cycle modelling. The environmental effects were quantified using the IMPACT2002+ method. Based on technological f...

An Eco-architecture Based Approach for Supporting Design for Disassembly

* Corresponding author: [email protected] Abstract The end-of-life (EOL) disassembly is an important process in the product retirement stage. In order to improve the ease of disassembly, it is essential to design a product which can be easily disassembled. In this paper, a novel concept of eco-architecture is introduced and a method for analyzing the eco-architecture of a product at the configura...
